So You Want To Be a Banquet Manager

I am bowled over! Have you really visited all these sites??! This looks like FUN; I only wish I had time to look at half these links. As it is I seem to spend an inordinate ammount of time on the internet at the moment trying to find out how I can make a respectable living in the “real” as opposed to virtual world, (after years not working and being in an abusive marriage which has resulted in zero self-confidence). It’s so difficult too to stay inside when the sun is shining so brilliantly and the seeds are vibrating in their packets just desperate to be in the soil. I am impressed by the ammount of information available but at the same time have serious doubts about the problems of over-comminication and too much information. I’m not very good at being discerning and sifting out the improtant stuff! Still, as I said at the beginning I am deeply impressed and even excited by this article and the possibilities it presents and even if I only “check out” a few of the sites I’m sure to find out something I didn’t know. Thank you - in anticipation of some interesting hours spent on a rainy afternoon.

@Tuesday
Thanks for your comment. Yes I have read all of the posts. However, it’s more about giving everybody the opportunity to be a community that makes a blog carnival something. Not so much whether I have read them or not.

In terms of making a living. Work out what you can do and what you love to do and work out how you can make a living from it. If you mediate and concentrate on this, the solution will come. Reading what others have to say, isn’t necessarily going to help you.

Regarding your abusive relationship. I’ve been there, so know how you feel. Do two things for yourself, have a mentor to help you move on and get your self confidence back. And secondly look forward in life rather than reflect too much on what happened.

Besides that remember you do not lack self confidence in all of your life. There are still things you know you can do well.

Those are just two things that helped me. They might of course not help you. Everybody is different after all.
