I first participated in this experiment as a name on a list without really getting involved in the first one which was with dosh dosh. This was in mid April and much to my surprise I am still getting favourited by other bloggers, more than a month ago. Talk about a ripple effect. Finally, I have decided to participate. I know, slow learner.

Technorati is a blog search engine, content aggregator, social website and ranking system which attracts a large number of bloggers, who are exactly the type of audioence or readers I want for my blog. Besides this Technorati link count rankings are important to bloggers who are always striving to improve their position on the popularity counter.

If you want to set up your own one then link to this blog post with your post on Technorati Favourites. This is only for those bloggers who are interested in holding Technorati exchanges on their blog as well. These are the steps you need to take:

Create your own post announcing that you are exchanging Technorati favourites. Prominently include a link to this post to indicate that there is a similar exchange going on. You can use any link text you want. It is easier if you make a new post on this topic instead of putting the link in any old post that is already deep in your archives.

Get a Link Back. Once I’ve noticed the link via trackback or Technorati, I’ll include a link to your post on Technorati favorites in this post itself so readers here can visit your blog to participate if they want to. I will also try to periodically highlight this post so it never gets lost in the archives.Links will usually be put up pretty quickly but if you didn’t see your link up after a day or two, please feel free to leave a comment to flag this.

Here’s what to do as a start and do only if you don’t want to set up your own but want to benefit from the exercise. Participation is of course optional.
1. Add my blog to your Technorati Favourites by clicking

2. Leave a comment on this very post with your Technorati username and your Technorati-ready Blog link.
